Why A Professional Organizer?

Many people struggle with hiring a professional organizer. They have a hard time justifying the cost when they could "just do it themselves". Or, they eviscerate themselves because "I should be able to do th
is myself".
Both could be said when you need a plumber, but yet you think nothing of calling a professional when your kitchen sink fails. And, I am no exception to this dynamic, This is ambitious me in 2019, pictured with my mother-in-law after replacing the kitchen faucet myself after watching a YouTube video! This is also "me" today, with Matt and the fine folks from Hedlund Plumbing handling some issues WAY out of my skill set.
So, there is a time and a place to try it yourself and absolutely to call in the big guns. Here are some questions to ask when considering a professional organizer?
Do I have a hard time prioritizing decluttering?
Do I feel overwhelmed when I look at a space in my house?
Do I have a hard time finding documents or other objects?
Do I have a hard time deciding what to keep, donate, or throw out?
Am I thinking about moving and need help assessing what to do to prepare?
Do I avoid having others over to my home or frequently apologize for the state of my space?
Do I have physical limitations that don't allow me to sort, carry, and donate/dispose of items?
Do I avoid hiring an organizer because I cannot justify the cost?
